“What is Taste of Gourmet?”  Taste of Gourmet is a way to make anyone a great cook, by simply opening a box and following easy, step-by-step directions. We have Consultants who come into your home with delicious foods to TASTE before you buy! We offer our customers simple meal solutions, speed-scratch, at home and budget friendly.

“What is the history of the company?”  The Roughton family has been in business since 1972.  Their Crown Restaurant has received national and international awards for their food products and media attention from the Food Network, USA Today, Southern Living, The New York Times, Turner South, and many others. The idea for Taste of Gourmet began in 1996 and all the foods that Consultants sell are created and produced in their own plant!

“I’m not a salesperson and I’m not pushy. Will I fit into the company?”  Of course you will.  You’ll quickly find that the high quality delicious products you’re offering will sell themselves. A Taste is worth a thousand words.

“How much does it cost to get started?”  Our $75 Sales Kit contains our top selling products, plus all the supplies and training you will need.

“Do I have to carry inventory and deliver to my customers?”  NO! You do NOT have to purchase inventory. We can ship directly to your Host, and your Host distributes the products to her guests. We can also ship directly to an individual customer (even accompanied by a handwritten card if the shipment is a gift.)

“Do I have to purchase the products that are sampled at my Tastings?”  No, that’s what Sample Allowance Credit (SAC) is for. Your SAC will provide you with enough products to sample at Tastings as well as to enjoy with your family.

“How much do I earn?”  You earn 25% to 35% commission on all retail sales. In addition, you earn SAC on all retail sales. We also allow you to build your own sales Family by sponsoring others as Gourmet Consultants.

"Can I have my own Taste of Gourmet website?" YES! Taste of Gourmet offers a basic website that YOU can very easily personalize! Your customers can visit YOUR website and place orders. The site is just $5.00 a month or $40.00 for 12 months.

“Do I have to submit my own sales tax?”  No! The Home Office files all the necessary forms and sends the tax money in for you.

“How do I collect my profit?”  You collect all the money for your sales including sales tax, shipping and handling (we make that really easy for you online.) The Home Office mails your Commission check once a month, which includes your 25% to 35% commission, and your commission on the sales of the recruits in your own Taste of Gourmet Family. NEW in 2008 - you can choose to collect your basic 25% Commission on your credit card as you enter orders with "extras" sent in a check once a month.

“Do I have to pay for Host Benefits?”  No! Taste of Gourmet pays for all the Host Benefits that are earned at your Tastings.

“Can I accept credit cards?”  Yes! You can accept all major credit cards and we provide that service for you. You don’t need to become a merchant or pay the fees yourself.

"What does it take to remain on Active Status?"  $100.00 in retail sales each month will keep you Active as a Gourmet Consultant, receiving all Home Office communications, etc. 

“What support and training will I receive?” Lots! Your Kit contains a training CD and excellent Sales Manual that is easy to read and follow. Excellent audio training is available on the website, so are conference calls, email updates, and direct personal contact with your sponsor and with the Home Office will give you the knowledge and the confidence you need to succeed.

“There’s not another Consultant near me, so how will I know what to do and how to do a Tasting?”  The materials in your Kit will eliminate your fears! Of course, being the first Consultant in your area opens up enormous opportunities for you in sales and recruiting. Taste of Gourmet has no territory restraints, so you can hold a Tasting anywhere that you want to work.

“How soon can I get started?"  You can start right now! Your Kit will arrive in 5 to 10 working days, depending on where you live. Fill out the application and we’ll start your training as a new Gourmet Consultant with your own Taste of Gourmet business!
