Mississippi Mud Cake

This is the darkly rich Fudge Cake that famous chefs love to serve in their restaurants! Incredibly dense, dark and rich! Just add butter and eggs and bake!
Toppings for this wonderful Dessert
Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream (or whipped cream.)
Drizzle with Royal Fudge Sauce or Caramel Pecan Sauce.
Garnish with fresh sliced strawberries and whipped cream.
Place slice on plate and dust with cocoa or icing sugar.
Mississippi Mud Bites
Prepare the mix just as directed on the box.
Pour into buttered (or sprayed) 8.5 x 11.5 inch pan to bake.
Bake for about 20 minutes, just until cake is set and pulling from the sides of the pan.
Cool then rub the top of the cake with powdered sugar!
Cut into small bite size pieces...so rich that a bite is all you need.
Fudgey Mud Cake
The Mud Cake is perfect just the way the directions read! But one of our Consultants made this version for her family and her son went crazy over the richness!
1 box Mississippi Mud Cake
2 sticks of butter
1 Tbsp. cold coffee (or water)
1/2 cup of Chocolate SaucePreheat oven to 350.
In large mixing bowl, combine mix with melted butter, eggs and coffee - following directions on the box!
Pour mixture into prepared cake pan, and bake by directions on box.
Remove from oven, cool enough to remove parchment paper - then place cake on a serving plate.
Using a fork, make a few pricks in the top of the cake. Pour the Fudge Sauce (warmed in the microwave) over the cake and smooth with a knife.
The Sauce will "melt" into the cake and what a fudgey-tasting treat!
