Fudge Baked Alaska

1 box of Mississippi Delta Fudge Pie
2 Oreo Pie Crusts
1 quart of Buttered Pecan Ice Cream (or your favorite ice cream)
1 quart of Chocolate Ice Cream
6 egg whites
1/2 cup sugar

  • Bake the Delta Fudge Pie according to instructions.
  • Divide the batter into the two crusts and bake at 350 degrees about 25 to 30 minutes. The pie is much thinner than normal.
  • When the pies have cooled, fill the "fudge shell" with layers of ice cream. I've suggested Chocolate and Buttered Pecan - but you know what you like best! Smooth and pack the ice cream layers, cover with plastic wrap and freeze for several hours.
  • Make a stiff meringue with the egg whites and sugar and ice the pies with the meringue, being careful to bring the meringue right to the edges of the crust, so that the ice cream is well sealed into the meringue.
  • Again cover with plastic wrap and freeze until ready to serve.
  • Just before serving, preheat the oven to 450 degrees. Take the pies out of the freezer and place them immediately into the oven. They will brown nicely in a few minutes.
  • Remove from the oven and serve immediately!

  • Using a spoon, mix the applesauce, eggs and the dry mix. Stir well.
  • Pour into pie crust and bake for 45 to 50 minutes.
